Mission of the Role

Protect our multi-cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) ecosystems by implementing Zero Trust frameworks, automating threat detection, and hardening CI/CD pipelines against emerging cyber risks.

Core Responsibilities

1. Cloud Defense Operations

• Implement CSPM tools (Prisma Cloud, Wiz) to enforce security baselines
• Configure SIEM/SOAR (Splunk, Sentinel) for real-time threat monitoring
• Harden Kubernetes/IaC (Terraform, Ansible) deployments against CVEs

2. Compliance & Automation

• Map controls to SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS requirements
• Develop Python/Bash scripts to auto-remediate misconfigurations
• Conduct purple team exercises with DevOps

3. Risk Mitigation

• Analyze CloudTrail/GuardDuty logs for IAM anomalies
• Design SASE/ZTNA policies for hybrid workforce
• Reverse-engineer cloud-specific malware samples

Technical Essentials

• Certifications: CCSP/AWS Security/CCSK (or pursuing)
• Tools:
  • IaC Scanning (Checkov, Terrascan)
  • Container Security (Aqua, Twistlock)
  • CASB (Netskope, McAfee MVISION)
• Coding: Python for security automation (Lambda functions)
